and poet from Egypt

Ahmed Mohammed El-Ganainy is an Egyptian poet and painter who was born
in October 1954 in Mansoura, Dakahleya, Egypt.
As a poet, he is a member of Egypt's writers' union.
He is also editor and president of the El Khayal magazine.
Apart from being a respected painter, he is a member of the plastic
artists syndicate and the plastic arts committee of the Supreme Council
of Culture as well as a member of the international committee of exhibitions.
He is also chairman of the Cairo Atelier, a member of the Alex Atelier,
and a founding member of the Mansoura atelier .

El Ganayni was the general representative of the international sambouzayom
of Ehden, Lebanon and the official representative in charge of nominating
artists for the sambouzayom of Ehden.
He was Egypt's official representative at the Lebanon International
Festival of Culture in partnership with The House of Arts “Beet
El Fann.” He also was and still is the general supervisor of
plastic arts in the Dakahleya provincial government.
As an art critic, El Ganayni has published numerous critical studies
on the plastic arts and he both directed and planned many publications
on the arts published by the ministry of culture. He also served as technical
official in charge of the series (“Esdarat khasa” and
“ktaba”) that were published by the General Authority for
Culture Palaces in Egypt. He participated in the “katr el
nada” publications and many other publications that
were published by the General Authority for Books.
