THE WOLVES
Then I started to get
the gist of the matter
under a dark sky
a star was twinkling
in the upper right corner
of the universe
A couple
(wolves)
were uniting
sitting face to face
their bodies baked red
clothes shed
arms entwined
hands invisible
tongues that were
touching
In the darkness
their eyes
and teeth were gleaming
white, and sharp-edged
they were like razor-blades
thin
and dangerous
The night is
no blue forest
The night is
a color
like blue
upon yellow, or maybe pink?
Is is rust-colored?
A very red red, now?
The bodies are rosy
but really rosy
They are also white, at times!
But their outlines:
a trace of blue
The arms entwined
and
entangled
“Your's are mine –
and
mine are your's”
says the image of the two
who
look at each other
like lovers do
not filled by the blues but
wild and gay
And Danton was in bed,
with Charlotte, you say
Okay, so what –
love
is love, you bet
And Danton's dead
